Refuse and Recycling Program

When the new Residential Curbside Refuse and Recycling contract begins on April 1 of 2025, each residence will need to have a special cart for their weekly trash. There is no additional charge for these carts, and you can choose one of three cart sizes for your home. The ONLY days when there will be no collection in 2024 are:

May 27 Memorial Day	July 4  Independence Day	September 2 Labor Day
November 28  Thanksgiving Day	December 25  Christmas Day

There will be a one-day delay for the rest of the week following each of those days, with Friday's collection taking place on Saturday.

Collection of both Refuse and Recycling will begin at 6 a.m. from Memorial Day to Labor Day.

Contact them with questions on billing, weekly service, or special pickups.

Also call customer service if you are experiencing a missed collection or any other problems with your weekly collection.  Do not send an email regarding refuse missed collections.

Get an email or a text message when the schedule for refuse or recycling collection changes for holidays, severe weather, or other emergencies.  There are TWO ways to do this:

1. Sign up for the COG email alerts by clicking on the blue button over on the right ("Subscribe to Alerts & Newsletter"). 

2. Tell Waste Management to send you either email or text alerts on your WM online account: under "My Account" go to "Manage Contacts". On the "Manage Contacts" page, check your email address and phone number, then look over on the left for "Communication Preferences", click "here" and then tell WM how and when to send you notifications.
