How and What to Recycle.
Single-family
Houses and some Townhomes: Red Bin
Recyclable items are
collected weekly at the curb in your red recycling bin. This service is provided by the Centre
County Recycling and Refuse Authority (CCRRA). Your collection day is the same
for both trash and recycling. If you need a red bin (replacement or an
additional one) please contact the CCRRA at 814-826-2722. Click this Recycle
at Home button to learn more about what materials can be recycled at home
in your red bin.
Multi-family
Units--Apartments and some Townhomes: Blue Carts
Recyclable
items are collected weekly in your blue recycling cart and a corrugated
cardboard dumpster by your hauler or through a contract between your hauler and
the Centre County Recycling and Refuse Authority. Click this Recycle at Home button to learn more about what
materials can be recycled at home in your blue carts.
Beyond the Curbside Program: There are other items that can be recycled but just not in your curbside red bin or blue carts.
