Project Submission and Prioritization

In 2024, the CCMPO Projects Committee was tasked by the CCMPO Coordinating Committee to score all projects for prioritization. The CCMPO uses an annual project prioritization process to help evaluate transportation needs and guide future investment decisions. Municipalities and other project sponsors may submit projects each year for consideration within nine project categories. Project Request Forms are due by the first Monday in March, after which eligible projects are scored using the applicable prioritization matrix. 2027 Project Forms are due March 1, 2027.

The scoring process does not guarantee funding. Instead, it provides a consistent and transparent way to compare projects and helps the MPO identify priorities for the Long Range Transportation Plan (LRTP), Transportation Improvement Program (TIP), and future state and federal grant opportunities.
