Refuse and Recycling Program

Welcome to the Centre Region COG Regional Refuse and Recycling homepage.

CRCOG's Regional Refuse and Recycling Program serves residents of Benner, College, Ferguson, Harris and Patton townships as their designated agent. CRCOG is responsible for ensuring customer satisfaction, contractor compliance and enforcement of the municipal solid waste & recycling ordinances.

Our mission is to promote public health, safety, and welfare and to eliminate public health hazards, environmental pollution, and economic loss in the Centre Region through the collection, transportation, and disposal of residential municipal waste.

Residents of the Borough of State College: If you are a resident of the Borough, your trash and recycling is collected by the Borough. Click on Borough Public Works Department for more information.

Schedule Your Bulk Waste Collection

Instead of the semi-annual bulk waste weeks of past years, your bulk collections will now be on demand. In other words, you schedule a pick up for your items when you need them to be gone rather than having to wait. Smaller items can go directly in your cart for weekly collection. Go HERE for guidelines and how to schedule your bulk collection.
