What is ALERTCentre?

ALERTCentre is our new emergency mass notification system. This system allows us to send an emergency message quickly to reach a large number of people (target audience) during a widespread emergency. Thousands of messages sent simultaneously! When seconds count, you can rely on ALERTCentre to notify you if your jurisdiction experiences any situation that requires immediate public awareness.

What is ALERTCentreUSED for?

The mass notification system is strictly used for wide
spread emergencies only. Examples of emergencies : active shooter, flood evacuations, gas leaks, missing persons, escaped prison inmates, emergency shelters, bank robbery, criminal activity and weather related emergencies.

How does ALERTCentre work?

It is based on the location of the incident (where the incident is taking place). Those who live within the targeted area of the incident (radius chosen by the activating authority) will receive the alert message. If you live outside the targeted area, you will NOT receive the
message.

What does ALERTCentre cost?
There is no fee for standard telephone call notifications. Standard text messaging rates apply to text messages.
