Zoning Validity Challenges Handbook
On June 4, 2015, the Centre Regional Planning Agency hosted a Peer-to-Peer Regional Planning Seminar which focused on zoning validity challenges in the context of multi-municipal planning. The main presentation was provided by Lancaster-based land use attorney, Matthew J. Creme, Jr. The purpose of the seminar was to provide an opportunity for municipal Planning Commission members from across the Centre Region to learn about and discuss the various types of zoning validity challenges, as well as ways to avoid such challenges within the context of the Centre Region Comprehensive Plan.
CRPA staff has compiled a summary of the information presented at the seminar into a Zoning Validity Challenges Handbook. This document provides an overview of the topics covered and is meant to act as a general guide on the subject of zoning validity challenges. The handbook can be accessed through the Publications section of the CRPA website or by clicking here.
The Zoning Validity Challenges Handbook is for informational purposes only and should not be used in place of legal advice from a qualified solicitor.
