On-Lot Septic Permit

To apply for a new onlot septic permit, the applicant must visit CRCA at 2643 Gateway Drive in State College to fill out Part I of the application and pay the application fee.

Things to Consider:

If your lot is already approved as suitable for onlot septic-

  1.  A Sewage Enforcement Officer will first verify that completed testing is valid.
  2.  Proposed system design by a professional with septic design experience will need to be  provided by the applicant. 
  3.  SEO reviews system design and application.
  4. SEO will issue a permit for approved system.
  5. System can now be installed.
  6. A final inspection is required prior to covering the system. An separate inspection fee is required at time of scheduling final inspection.

Note: 

Proposed system location as well as backup location (if applicable) need to be staked out with wooden stakes at time of site verification and prior to permit issuance. 

Repairs or malfunctions to existing systems, and tank replacements, should be discussed with an SEO prior to submitting an application.
