FOOD TRUCK: Dubbs Grub – We’re excited to welcome back Dubbs Grub for our first ride of the season! These guys bring it every time with burgers, hot sandwiches and bowls, including gluten free and vegan options.

Safety Reminders

Whether you’re new to our group or a seasoned rider, here are reminders of the BIG 3 Safety Tips when riding with Pedals and Pints.

• Ride no more than 2 wide. And leave room for other riders and cars pass safely.
• STAY IN YOUR LANE – can’t stress this one enough. We see people passing in the wrong lane on crests of hills and around bends way too often.
• Communicate. Yell “Car back” to let riders know a car is approaching from behind, “Car up” when a car is approaching from a side street or head on”, “Passing on left”…when you’re passing. See an upcoming pothole or other danger? Point and say what it is.

This Week’s Ride Details:

• PVPP provides a welcoming environment for all riders, any bike and speed.
• Arrive between 5:15pm and 6pm (park in the field behind Millheim Fire Company).
• We leave promptly at 6pm for our marked ride (with short-cut options) DOWNLOAD the route below.
• A PVPP support truck will be available to aid riders.

What to bring:

• Any bicycle (road, gravel, mountain, recumbent, electric, etc.)
• A helmet (this is a MUST)
• Water bottle
• $3 Donation for the planning effort – Credit Cards accepted (proceeds are donated to local PV charities at the end of the season)
• An appetite! We’ll have Elk Creek beers, NA drinks from The Village Mercantile, and Dubbs Grub Food Truck!

This Week’s Route

Spring Mills is Paradise (20.7 miles) – VIEW/DOWNLOAD
This is a great first ride of the season, with a nice flat route out to Spring Mills, turning around at the YMCA, and beautiful view to end your ride.

Short-cut: Turn around at any point on Penns Creek Rd. Skip Paradise and go back the way you came if you want a flatter option.
