New Home Permits

Prior to applying for a new home building permit, the owner must first fill out an application and obtain a zoning permit, obtain a water permit from the local water purveyor, and obtain a permit for sewer service or an on-site septic system. Once zoning approval has been obtained all documentation stated above, as well as 2 sets of building plans drawn to scale, are submitted to CRCA as application for a building permit. Please visit the single family home/addition submittal guide to help with the level of detail and information required on both sets of plans. The permit applicant is responsible in providing the construction details and information on the plans to verify code compliance. This can be complicated, and professional assistance is recommended.
