What should I do when fire apparatus is backing into its station?
You should stop your vehicle well short of the apparatus and remain stopped until the fire apparatus is off the roadway. Pennsylvania state law requires drivers to stop for any emergency vehicle displaying its warning signals for the purpose of exit or entry into its station or garage [Chapter 33, Section 3346]. The more room you give the fire apparatus, the sooner it will be able to get off the road and out of your way.
