Christmas Tree Recycling

Live Christmas Tree recycling is included in residents’ curbside refuse collection. This does not include residences with dumpsters.

Curbside collection of Christmas trees will take place the week of January 12 – 16 on residents’ regular collection day, but must be scheduled to be collected.

To schedule to have your Christmas tree collected, please call or email between November 24 and December 23.

 

Tips to ensure your tree is collected:

1. Schedule to have your tree collected by December 23, 2025.

2. Have your tree at the curb on your regular collection day during the week of January 12 - 16, 2026. Leave a 3-foot clearance between the refuse cart and the tree. 

3. If your tree is not collected that week, please leave it out the following week on your regular collection day. Weather may impact collection that first week. 

4. Do not place your tree in a bag and remove all lights, ornaments, and stands. 

5. This collection is for LIVE trees only; no artificial trees.  

6. If your tree is especially tall, cut it in half. 

7. If you miss this collection or do not schedule your collection, you may place your tree out next to your cart (leave a 3-foot clearance around the cart) and you will be charged the extra item charge of $4.

8. If you place your tree out early, make sure it is not snow covered so that the hauler can see it, and make sure it is not frozen to the ground in ice or snow.
