April 13, 2020: COVID-19 Update from the Centre Region Emergency Management Program

Centre Region Specific News:

State College Area School District: The School District is seeking donations to support the State College Education Foundation's Mental Health Awareness Fund. The fund is used to help families meet their basic needs, including utilities, groceries and transportation to work. You can donate here: https://scasdfoundation.org/donate/

News from the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania:

The Governor extended the Stay At Home Order to April 30th. The order has been extended to cover the entire state.

There are now 24,199 cases in PA. There are 70 cases in Centre County. For the first time since March 22nd, no new cases were reported in the County.

The Governor is recommending that everyone wear a mask when they leave their homes to visit life sustaining businesses. More information can be found here:https://www.health.pa.gov/topics/disease/coronavirus/Pages/Stop-the-Spread.aspx
