April 1, 2020: COVID-19 Update from the Centre Region Emergency Management Program

COVID-19 Update from the Centre Region Emergency Management Program, April 1, 2020

Centre Region Specific News:
  • The following messaging was sent to residents about the drop off locations: Residents have the option of storing their recycling on their property until curbside collection resumes or placing it in their trash in a trash grade bag. We are not encouraging residents to leave their homes to drop off recycling. Please be advised that if you do choose to utilize the drop off locations, you should only do so in accordance with the Governor's order (i.e. don't make a separate trip just to recycle; instead combine it with a trip to the grocery store). Residents are reminded to practice social distancing at all locations.
  • Fullington is suspending intercity service until April 30th. The Fullington cancellations will clearly shut off passengers that are traveling Greyhound bus lines from the major cities where Fullington connects such as Harrisburg, Philly, Pittsburgh and New York.

News from the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania:

  • The Governor extended the Stay At Home Order to April 30th. The order has been extended to cover the entire state.

  • There are now 5,805 cases in PA. There are 27 cases in Centre County (that's up 1 from yesterday.
