April 22, 2020: COVID-19 Update from the Centre Region Emergency Management Program

Centre Region Specific News:
  • Centre County Recycling and Refuse Authority: Curbside recycling service will resume Monday, April 27th. The Authority has put safety guidelines in place. You can learn more here: https://www.centrecountyrecycles.org/
  • Harris Township: All activities on Memorial Day have been cancelled (including the parade, carnival, race and Day in Town). A virtual 6:00 PM service will be held. More details will be released here: https://www.facebook.com/MemorialDayInBoalsburg/
  • The United Way will hold the #liveunitedlive, a Facebook live concert, on April 24th from 6:00 PM to 10:00 PM on their facebook page. The event will raise money for the United Way. You can find more information here: https://www.facebook.com/centrecountyunitedway

News from the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania:
  • There are now 35,684 cases in PA. There are 76 cases in Centre County. Two deaths have been reported. 618 people have tested negative for COVID-19.
