COVID-19 Update from the Centre Region Emergency Management Program, March 31, 2020
Centre Region Specific News:
- The Centre Region Emergency Operations Center has been activated by Shawn Kauffman. This is a level 2 virtual activation, which is a partial activation of EOC staff using remote meeting software. A daily call has been scheduled with staff to get updates on operations.
- Mount Nittany Health has a dedicated COVID-19 hotline available to the community: (814) 237-7111. The hotline is answered daily from 7:00 AM to 11:00 PM.
- Advanced Disposal will no longer pick up trash that is not bagged in heavy grade bags (i.e. no plastic grocery bags) from customers in Benner, College, Ferguson, Harris and Patton Townships. Bags should be tied shut. Bagged trash can still be placed in a trash can for collection.
News from the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania:
- The Governor extended the Stay At Home Order to April 30th. The order has been extended to 33 counties.
- There are now 4,843 cases in PA.
