Centre Region Specific News:
- Centre Region COG: Spring Bulk Waste Collection will occur between May 18 - 22 on the regular collection day for curbside trash collection customers in Benner, College. Ferguson, Harris, and Patton Townships. This collection does not include multi-family buildings or complexes with dumpster service. Residents are advised to keep tires, electronics, and appliances separate from other bulk waste. We also ask that households with confirmed or suspected cases of COVID-19 call the COG office at 234-7198 to schedule a separate pick up. More information can be found at www.crcog.net/bulkwaste
- Centre Region Parks and Recreation: Centre Region Parks and Recreation announced operational changes for when the county moves to yellow status. You can read more here: https://www.facebook.com/centreregionready/
News from the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania:
- The Governor extended the Stay At Home Order to May 8th. The Governor announced his approach to re-opening the state. You can read more about the red/yellow/green phasing here: https://www.governor.pa.gov/newsroom/gov-wolf-reopening-targeted-for-may-8-in-north-central-northwest/
- There are now 50,092 cases in PA. There are 105 cases in Centre County. 1,051 people have tested negative for COVID-19. Pennsylvania saw the smallest single day increase in new cases since March 31st.
