October 5, 2020: COVID-19 Update from the Centre Region Emergency Management Program
Centre Region Specific News:
- Penn State: Penn State announced its plans for Spring 2021. The University plans to start classes a week later (January 18th), cancelled spring break, and will continue hybrid delivery methods. - CATA: CATA is temporarily suspending its express service due to low ridership, effective October 12th. You can read more here: https://catabus.com/service-changes/

- Centre County: The testing site at the Nittany Mall has been extended for an additional week. The testing location will be open this week, Tuesday through Saturday, from 7:00 AM to 6:00 PM.
News from the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania:
- The Department of Health rolled out a new mobile app that helps with contact tracing and with symptom tracking. You can read more here: https://www.pa.gov/covid/covid-alert-pa/
- As of October 4th, there are 158,001 cases in PA. 1,931,635 people have tested negative for COVID-19.
- As of October 4th, there are 2,954 cases in Centre County. 28,233 people have tested negative for COVID-19.
