Software News

In January 2023 the Centre Region Code Administration will be switching to TRAISR software. The agency has signed a 10-year contract which will provide COG members access to the software including the seven Municipalites (State College Borough, Patton Twp., College Twp., Harris Twp., Ferguson Twp., Harris Twp., and Halfmood Twp.)

“We are honored to provide the Centre Region Council of Governments with TRAISR’s tailored solutions,” said Brian Berdel, Chief Operating Officer, TRAISR. “The Centre Region is leading the way by using the negotiating power of a larger organization to enable smaller entities to incorporate world-class asset, permit and infrastructure management for their local government members. Streamlining these operations brings economic and labor efficiencies, as well as helping townships and boroughs stay better connected to their constituents and provide broader services.”

“We had unique challenges that a purely out of the box solution had difficulty handling,” said Walter Schneider, Agency Director for Code Administration, Centre Region Council of Governments. “We also wanted to partner with someone that had a team attitude, which we also have as a code office. We try and be very proactive and forward thinking, and the TRAISR team said they would be there, on our doorstep if need be, to create a solution that worked for our members. Because of this, we have increased the scope of the project to include the entire package that will give us regional cooperation and efficiencies of scale, and allow us to provide a level of customer service that we thought previously was unachievable. It is achievable with TRAISR. The region is excited to get going!”
