Centre County Metropolitan Planning Organization (CCMPO)

    Federal law and regulations require that local and State officials work cooperatively to maintain a continuous and comprehensive long-range transportation planning program in all urbanized areas with populations of more than 50,000 persons, which includes Centre County, Pennsylvania. This Federal mandate is carried out by a formal group called a "Metropolitan Planning Organization (MPO)."    


Title VI Policy

As a recipient of federal funds, the CCMPO operates its transportation planning programs and services in accordance with Title VI of the Civil Rights Act of 1964, which prohibits discrimination on the basis of race, color, national origin (including limited English proficiency), age, sex, or disability.
