Rights Under Title VI of the Civil Rights Act of 1964 and other Nondiscrimination Laws and Regulations
Centre County Metropolitan Planning Organization (CCMPO)
As a recipient of federal funds, the CCMPO operates its transportation planning programs and services in accordance with Title VI of the Civil Rights Act of 1964, which prohibits discrimination on the basis of race, color, national origin (including limited English proficiency). The CCMPO also operates its programs in accordance with other federal and state laws and regulations which prohibit discrimination or disproportionate impacts based on age, sex, disability, minority, or low income status. Any person who believes she or he has been aggrieved by any unlawful discriminatory practice by the CCMPO under Title VI or other nondiscrimination laws and regulations may file a complaint with the CCMPO or other federal and state agencies.
