CRCOG's Regional Refuse and Recycling Program serves residents of Benner, College, Ferguson, Harris and Patton townships as their designated agent. CRCOG is responsible for ensuring customer satisfaction, contractor compliance and enforcement of the municipal solid waste & recycling ordinances.
Our mission is to promote public health, safety, and welfare and to eliminate public health hazards, environmental pollution, and economic loss in the Centre Region through the collection, transportation, and disposal of residential municipal waste.

Centre Region COG's Regional Refuse and Recycling Program will hold its Spring Collection of Bulk Waste from May 13 - 17, 2024. This special collection is only for residences with curbside collection of refuse and recycling in Benner, College, Ferguson, Harris, and Patton Townships. The ONLY days when there will be no collection in 2024 are:

September 2 Labor Day |

November 28 Thanksgiving Day |
December 25 Christmas Day |
There will be a one-day delay for the rest of the week following each of those days, with Friday's collection taking place on Saturday.
Collection of both Refuse and Recycling will begin at 6 a.m. from Memorial Day to Labor Day.
Are you trying to reach someone with a question or problem regarding your refuse and recycling curbside collection?
→Customer service is provided by WM (Waste Management). Here's how to get in touch with them:
Contact them with questions on billing, weekly service, or special pickups.
Also call customer service if you are experiencing a missed collection or any other problems with your weekly collection. Do not send an email regarding refuse missed collections.
→If it's your recycling that was missed or about which you have a question, call the Centre County Recycling and Refuse Authority at 814-238-7005.
